Who is Pretty Dreams Photography:
Pretty Dreams Photography is run and owned by Sonia Gourlie, She is located in North Gower Ontario which is 15 mins from the outskirts of Ottawa with a beautiful boutique photography studio.
She specializes in dance, styled baby, heirloom and child couture sessions, but also captures stunning newborn, maternity and styled family images for her clients. Sonia has been published multiple times in various magazines including Child Couture Magazine.
Sonia was announced as one of the top 10 international baby photographers of 2020 with baby photo awards. This past summer she won third place and a silver award in the APNPI international competition in the milestone category.
Her amazing images have also earned her Silver awards in the WPPI and WPE international awards which are some of the most highly acclaimed awards for photographers.
Pretty Dreams Photography Experience.
Pretty Dreams Photography is about creating beautiful museum quality art work for you to display in your home. Each experience is fully customized and unique to match your individual child or families.
Each session is gorgeously styled and our clients have access to our stunning in studio couture wardrobe and heirloom items and wardrobe items.
Once you contact us, Sonia will help you chose the right type of session for you and will scout beautiful locations or work in the studio to give you the most beautiful and styled session.
Once you decide on your session type, we will choose a date and location for your session. An invoice and contract will be sent to you to complete . Your session fee is due at the time of booking, and serves as a non refundable retainer.
The retainer can be transferred if your session needs to be rescheduled due to weather or illness etc. up to a year from date of booking.
Your session date is not secure until your session fee is paid.
Once your session is booked, we will set up your pre-session Style Consultation. We will discuss wardrobe, hair, makeup, shoes, and give you tips to help you make the most of your session.
The Style Consultation can either be done online or in-person, depending on your session type and location.
Next is the best part.. and the most fun, Its session time, this is where the true magic is created, everything you see is in camera, Sonia has trained with some of the best in the world and has learned to capture dreamy and magical images that are pure magic but also fully real, her camera and lens and eye for detail is what sets her apart. The editing is just the icing on the cake and enhances what is already there. Once the session is done, we will also set a date for the next step – your beautiful gallery reveal!
The Reveal
In approximately 2-3 weeks after your session, we will meet again to go through your guided art experience. sit back enjoy a coffee or tea or sparkling water in our beautiful studio and watch your images come to life, Pretty Dreams Photography will edit 20 to 25 of the very best images and will be edited to choose from. We will then help you choose the perfect products for you – from museum-quality wall art to gorgeous heirloom boxes, canvases and stunning albums in the most gorgeous quality available.
As soon as they arrive , they will be beautifully packaged, and we will deliver your beautiful images to you.

Pricing Structure:
Session Fees – All sessions require a non-refundable retainer fee of $220.00 to secure your session date. The session fee includes a consultation where we discuss styling, and plan the session itself . After the session we will hot a gallery reveal and ordering appointment together, where you will see your beautiful images and pick what products you would like to purchase!

At Pretty Dreams Photography, we pride ourselves on providing beautiful, museum quality print products designed to be handed down from generation to generation. At your reveal session you will see examples of our gorgeous papers, collection boxes, stunning albums and wall art, as well as mock-ups of how the wall art you choose will look on your walls, so you can be sure that the image and size will look exactly the way you want it to .
